Jen Majura has been a part of Evanescence since 2015, and has since been a staple within the band! She had taken on not only rhythm guitars, but also had began adding back-up vocals as well.
Evanescence posted the following in regards to her departure –
It has been a very special chapter in the band with our dear friend Jen Majura, but we have decided it’s time to go our separate ways. We will always love her and support her, and can’t wait to see what she does next! We are so grateful for the good times and great music we made all around the world together. We are hard at work rehearsing for our upcoming tour and will have some exciting news about the new lineup coming in the next few days, so stay tuned.

Born in Stuttgart West Germany, Majura, part Thai and part German, is a 38-year-old musician who also has two solo albums – the self-titled “Jen Majura” released in 2015 and ”InZENity” which was released in 2017.
Majura’s exit, while a sad one, sees her leaving after some great acomplishments during her time with Evanescence. In 2021, Evanescence released their fifth studio album ”The Bitter Truth” which was a 10-year follow-up to the band’s self-titled “Evanescence” released in 2011.
Their most recent single, “Better Without You”, saw the band’s first Top 10 Rock Radio track in ten years, having held the number 8 slot the week of September 6th – September 12th of 2021.
She saw the ”Use My Voice” music video (Directed by Eric D. Howell) snag a nomination for “Best Rock” at the MTV Video Music Awards in August of 2021.
She was also a part of Evanescence’s massive undertaking, the “Synthesis Live” tour, which spanned from October 14, 2017 through September 8, 2018. This saw the band’s first ever tour with a full, live symphony on stage performing with them.
