Sweden’s very own heavy metal icons, Sabaton, had released their 10th studio album earlier this year on March 4th entitled “The War to End All Wars”. This album sort of acted as a “second act” to their 2019 effort “The Great War”, in that it gave the band an opportunity to tell more of the interesting and forgotten stories that happened during World War I, and they absolutely nailed it! With beefy guitars, heart-pounding drums, Sabaton, yet again, doesn’t disappoint! Then two months later on May 6th, they released a symphonic version entitled “The Symphony to End All Wars”. Which, simply put is a beautiful and epic journey.

Fast forward, and now the band is back on North American soil, and are currently on a headlining tour with none other than Epica! This 24-city tour sees Sabaton refreshed and ready to get back into the swing of things now that the pandemic is slowly returning to normal.

With enough charisma to get even the most laidback concert goer on their feet, this band delivers a powerful punch not just in the studio, but even more so live! Having only seen this band once in 2015, I know they put on one helluva show and I’m excited to see them again next month!

Co-Owner Ryan Murray and Hannes Van Dahl of Sabaton discuss their latest album, their current North American headling tour and much more, what it was like to tour with Judas Priest and much more!
