For Motionless In White, heavy music has always been about more than aggression—it’s been about survival. Over nearly two decades, the Scranton, Pennsylvania quintet have forged a bond with fans who find themselves reflected in the tension between darkness and light that defines the band’s sound. That connection—raw, human, and unflinchingly honest—has carried Motionless In White from basement shows to arena stages, and it now sets the tone for their newly announced tour as the band step confidently into their next era.

Formed in 2006, Motionless In White quickly distinguished themselves by refusing to conform to any single lane. Their music balances punishing metalcore with gothic atmosphere, industrial textures, and a visual identity as meticulously crafted as the songs themselves. What began as a steady underground rise evolved into a sustained ascent, fueled by a relentless touring ethic and an ever-expanding audience drawn to both the brutality and the beauty embedded in their work.

That evolution has translated into undeniable success. The band have secured three consecutive Top 5 debuts on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums chart, with 2022’s Scoring The End of the World marking a pivotal milestone. The album debuted at #1 on the Hard Rock chart and reached #12 on the Billboard 200, the highest chart position of the band’s career. Its standout single, “Masterpiece,” delivered Motionless In White their first Active Rock #1 and second RIAA Gold certification, continuing its climb toward Platinum status.

Yet numbers only tell part of the story. Motionless In White’s staying power comes from their versatility and willingness to evolve, collaborating across genres with artists as varied as Jonathan Davis of Korn, composer Mick Gordon, Illenium, and Knocked Loose. On the road, they’ve proven equally formidable, headlining sold-out tours while supporting genre giants like Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot. At home in Scranton, they’ve gone further still—curating and headlining their own Apocalypse Fest, transforming their hometown into a gathering place for the heavy music community they’ve helped shape.

As they unveil a new slate of North American headlining dates and hint at what’s next under Roadrunner Records, Motionless In White step into another defining chapter of their career. That chapter opens with Afraid of the Dark, blending razor-sharp metalcore with gothic atmosphere and industrial weight, anchored by a message of resilience—choosing light in the face of uncertainty. Two decades on, Motionless In White remain in motion, evolving in lockstep with the audience that has followed them every step of the way.
