Metallica announces their new album “72 Seasons” releasing on April 14th, 2023 via their own Blackened Recordings. The band also released the first offering from the album “Lux Æterna”! At just 3:25, we get a blast of Metallica’s 40 years of history in an iconic blast from the past that’s sure to conjure of feelings of nostalgia as the band brings back the straight up thrash sound that they are so well known for. Hetfield’s vocals only seem to get stronger, and this track is proof of that. Ulrich, Hammett and Trujillo absolutely bring the fire to this short but instant hit. Check out the video here!

Today also marks the announcement of every Metallica show booked through 2023 and 2024: Presented worldwide by Liquid Death and Blackened American Whiskey (in North America only) and promoted by Live Nation, Metallica’s M72 world tour will see the band playing two nights in every city it visits—with each No Repeat Weekend featuring two completely different setlists and support lineups.
